Abstract: the verses of the Holy Scriptures of the New Testament—the Gospel of Matthew—7:22-23 are examined in the article. The study is based on the analysis of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments of the New Version of the King James Bible (NKJV). By the method of comparative analysis of these verses with verses from the Gospel of John the 8th chapter (or, briefly, John 8:30-59), it was convincingly proved that the context of the verses from the Gospel of Matthew 7:22-23 refers only to the Jews, and not to the Church of God. This research was conducted according to the biblical method—“proof by the Scriptures.”
